Four statewide measures are certified for the 2025 ballot in one state—Louisiana—as of Nov. 26, 2024. For 2026, eight statewide measures have been certified for the ballot in six states.
2025 ballot measures
During the past two weeks, four constitutional amendments were certified in Louisiana for a special election on March 29, 2025:
- Louisiana State Taxation Policy Amendment
- Louisiana Authorize Disciplinary Actions for Out-of-State Lawyers and Create Trial Courts of Limited or Specialized Jurisdiction Amendment
- Louisiana Use Earliest Election Dates for Filling Judicial Vacancies Amendment
- Louisiana Legislative Authority to Determine Crimes for Trying Juveniles as Adults Amendment
2026 ballot measures
During the past two weeks, one veto referendum was certified in Massachusetts for the general election on November 3, 2026:
Signatures have been submitted and are pending verification for two initiatives in Nevada:
- Nevada Exempt School Teachers from Public Employee Strike Ban Initiative
- Nevada Limit Contingency Fees in Civil Cases Initiative
Upcoming deadlines
The following signature deadlines for ballot initiatives are within the next two months:
- Dec. 27, 2024: Signatures for indirect initiated state statutes in Ohio for 2025.
- Jan. 3, 2025: Signatures for indirect initiated state statutes in Washington for 2025.
- Jan. 23, 2025: Signatures for indirect initiated state statutes in Maine for 2025.
