Both candidates for Los Banos, Calif. city council complete Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey

Both candidates running in the special election for Los Banos, Calif., City Council District 1—Mitzy Perez and Kalid Sanchez—completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

All survey respondents are asked to tell voters about their views on financial and government accountability. Excerpts from both Los Banos candidates are shown below:

Perez:

“I believe financial transparency and government accountability are the foundation of public trust. Taxpayer dollars should be used responsibly, with clear reporting so residents can see how their money is spent.”

Sanchez:

“All politicians should have public transparency. It is the key to keeping the public trust and to actually do things the right way.”
