Elections for the Colorado House of Representatives will take place in 2026. The general election is on November 3, 2026. The primary was June 30, 2026. The filing deadline was March 18, 2026.

In 2024, Republicans gained three seats, breaking the Democratic supermajority, which had been in place since 2023. After the elections, Democrats had 43 seats to Republicans' 22. Forty-four seats are required to have a supermajority. Colorado Newsline's Sara Wilson writes that a supermajority in both the House and Senate "would make it possible for the caucuses to refer state constitutional amendments to the ballot and override vetoes from the governor with a party-line vote." Heading into the elections, both parties are targeting the Colorado Legislature. The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee has targeted eight House seats, including four districts they already hold, and four they want to gain from Republicans.

On their website, the DLCC wrote that "2026 is our opportunity to solidify Democratic power in the Colorado General Assembly so the state can continue serving as a firewall against the Trump administration." The Republican State Leadership Committee has targeted Colorado as one of eight states to focus on preserving their members and says, "With the key understanding being not backtracking on the progress already made in these states, there are opportunities to expand GOP control where we are seeing frustrations in blue states."

Ballotpedia considered eight districts to be battlegrounds. These included districts where the margin in 2024 was within five points, where a district was open and within five points in 2024, where a national organization is targeting, or where a district featured a notable challenger.
