All 60 seats in the Arizona House of Representatives are up for election on Nov. 3.

Currently, Republicans have a 33-27 majority in the House. This means Democrats need to win at least four seats to gain a majority, and Republicans cannot lose more than two seats.

This election is taking place alongside elections for the Senate and governor. Arizona is currently one of 11 states with a divided government, as Governor Katie Hobbs is a Democrat, and Republicans control both chambers of the legislature. If Democrats were to win all three, it would be the first Democratic trifecta since 1966. If Republicans were to win all three, it would be the first Republican trifecta since 2023. Ballotpedia assessed a moderate possibility of Republicans gaining a trifecta and a slight possibility of Democrats gaining a trifecta as a result of the 2026 general elections.

Both the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) and the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) are targeting the Arizona Legislature in the 2026 general elections. According to Ballotpedia's analysis, Arizona is one of 30 states where both parties are targeting the state legislature. Ballotpedia identified eight battlegrounds. These include districts where the margin of victory in 2024 was within five points, where a district is open and within five percentage points in 2024, where a national organization is targeting, or where a district features a notable challenger. Thirteen incumbents across those districts are running for re-election. One seat in District 9 and both seats in District 13 are open. To read more about these districts, click here.
