Trump ends June with 40% approval rating, same as Biden's at this point in his term


At the end of June, polling averages showed President Donald Trump (R) with a 40% approval rating, the same as President Joe Biden (D) had at this point in his term. Fifty-seven percent of voters disapproved of Trump's performance.

The highest average approval rating Trump has received in his second term was 54%, last seen on Jan. 22, 2025. The lowest average approval rating of his second term was 39%, last seen on June 2, 2026.

At the end of June, average congressional approval was 31% and disapproval was 58%. The lowest average approval rating the 119th Congress has received was 12%, last seen on May 26, 2026. The highest average approval rating it has received was 37%, last seen on July 1, 2025.

At this point in Trump’s first term, average presidential approval was three points higher at 43%, and average congressional approval was 17 points lower at 14%. At this point in the Biden administration, average presidential approval was the same at 40%, and average congressional approval was 13 points lower at 18%.
