The following candidates are running: Incumbent Javiera Caballero, Incumbent Monique Holsey-Hyman, Nate Baker, Shanetta Burris, J.J. Campbell, Waldo Fenner, Bonita Green, Shelia Ann Huggins, Khalilah Karim, Carl Rist, Sherri Zann Rosenthal, and Renee Vaughan.
The following candidates are running for mayor: Charlitta Burruss, Jontae Dunston, DeDreana Freeman, Nick Pettiford, Marshall Williams, Jr., Leonardo Williams, Sylvester Williams, and Mike Woodard.
Durham is the fourth-largest city in North Carolina and the 74th-largest city in the U.S. by population.
