Both of the candidates running in the March 5, 2024, Republican primary for Texas’ 18th Congressional District — Lana Centonze (R) and Aaron Hermes (R) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. Centonze:

“I am passionate about securing our borders. If our borders were secure and our laws were being implemented, then we would have a better America. I am also passionate about rebuilding our economy by Investing in small businesses, protecting the family unit, and ending Human Trafficking.”

Hermes:

“Human Rights and how they intersect with every policy is what I’m most passionate about.

These are some specific areas of interest:

1) Protecting the border

2) Combatting human trafficking

3) Election integrity

4) Food, air & water safety

5) Medical freedom.”
