All candidates for U.S. House Texas District 32 Republican primary runoff complete Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey

Both of the candidates running in the May 28, 2024, Republican primary runoff election for Texas’ 32nd Congressional District  — David Blewett (R) and Darrell Day (R) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Here are the candidates’ responses to the question: Do you believe that it’s beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

Blewett:

“The learning curve to be a Representative is steep. 2 years is not enough time to learn the job…and do it. Previous experience is critical. I have that experience from previous elected representation.”

Day:

“It’s more important to have firmly held beliefs, grounded in the U.S. Constitution.”

We ask all federal, state, and local candidates with profiles on Ballotpedia to complete a survey and share what motivates them on political and personal levels. Ask the candidates in your area to fill out the survey.
