Both candidates for Thousand Oaks, Calif., city council complete Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey


Both candidates running in the general election for Thousand Oaks, Calif., City Council District 4—Al Adam and Jeff Schwartz—completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

All survey respondents are asked to tell voters what characteristics or principles they believe are most important for an elected official. Excerpts are shown below.

Adam:

“Transparency is paramount– residents need to trust that their leaders are open, honest, and communicative.”

Schwartz:

“The ability to serve the taxpayers, and the willingness to serve others without engaging in favoritism, cronyism, or self-serving behaviors.”
