President Donald Trump (R) ends March with 47% approval, 51% disapproval


At the end of March, approval polling averages showed President Donald Trump (R) at 47% approval. Fifty-one percent of voters disapproved of his performance. The lowest approval rating he’s received during his presidency is 47%, last seen on March 31, 2025. The highest approval rating Trump has received is 54%, last seen on Jan. 22, 2025.

At the end of March, congressional approval was at 26% and disapproval was at 52%. The lowest approval rating the 119th Congress has received is 19%, last seen on Jan. 29, 2025. The highest approval rating it has received is 32%, last seen on March 20, 2025.

At this time during Trump’s first term in office, presidential approval was two points lower at 42%, and congressional approval was eight points lower at 18%. At this point during the Biden administration, presidential approval was five points higher at 52%, and congressional approval was two points lower at 24%.
