President Donald Trump (R) ends June with 44% approval, down one point from last month

At the end of July, approval polling averages showed President Donald Trump (R) at 44% approval. Fifty-three percent of voters disapproved of his performance. This is the lowest approval rating he’s received during his presidency. He last received this approval rating in June. The highest approval rating Trump has received is 54%, last seen on Jan. 22, 2025.

At the end of July, congressional approval was at 30% and disapproval was at 56%. The lowest approval rating the 119th Congress has received is 19%, last seen on Jan. 29, 2025. The highest approval rating it has received is 37%, last seen on July 1, 2025.

At this time during Trump’s first term in office, presidential approval was four points lower at 40%, and congressional approval was fourteen points lower at 16%. At this point during the Biden administration, presidential approval was seven points higher at 51%, and congressional approval was eleven points lower at 19%.
