In early September, Trump received a 43% approval rating, the lowest of his second term. The highest approval rating Trump has received this term is 54%, last seen on Jan. 22, 2025.

At the end of September, congressional approval was at 26% and disapproval was at 71%. The lowest approval rating the 119th Congress has received is 19%, last seen on Jan. 29, 2025. The highest approval rating it has received is 37%, last seen on July 1, 2025.
At this time during Trump’s first term in office, presidential approval was four points lower at 40%, and congressional approval was 12 points lower at 14%. At this point during the Biden administration, presidential approval was one point higher at 45%, and congressional approval was seven points lower at 19%.
