Election officials have scheduled a special election for the District 27 seat in the Connecticut state Senate for March 2, 2021. The seat became vacant when Carlo Leone (D) resigned on Jan. 5 to work for the state Department of Transportation. There is no primary, and candidates will be nominated directly by political parties.
