Both of the candidates running in the November 8, 2022, general election for Colorado House of Representatives District 42—incumbent Mandy Lindsay (D) and Cory Parella (R)— completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. Eighty-eight of the country’s 99 state legislative chambers will hold regularly scheduled elections in 2022. The Democratic Party controls both chambers of Colorado’s state legislature. Colorado is one of 14 states with a Democratic trifecta.

Lindsay:
“Ability to seek out experts (know what you don’t know), loyalty to people not profits, ability to make hard choices”
Parella:
“I want a decisive official, so I am decisive. I want a transparent official, so I am transparent. I want an accessible official who listens, so I listen.”
