Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey: New Jersey roundup

New Jersey is holding elections, including for state legislative offices, on Nov. 7, 2023. A number of candidates running in these elections completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Below is the response from a candidate who filled out the survey as of Sept. 19. To read the candidate’s full responses, click his name at the bottom of the article.

Brian McRory (R) is running for New Jersey General Assembly District 6, and the general election is on Nov. 7. Here’s how McRory responded to the question: What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

  • “My dedication lies in the well being of our veterans and how we can get them the best care they deserve; raise more awareness on veterans suicide
  • Lowering the tax burden imposed on District 6/Camden County residents
  • The rights of parents have been stripped by the current government; we need to eliminate overbearing government mandates infused with social manipulation/political bias from our educational institutions”
