Six candidates file to participate in Idaho’s Republican presidential caucus 


The filing deadline for the Idaho Republican presidential caucus passed on Dec. 3, 2023. Six candidates qualified to appear on the March 2, 2024, ballot. In order to qualify, candidates had to pay a $50,000 filing fee. 

The following candidates qualified:

  • Ryan Binkley
  • Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie
  • Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
  • Former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley
  • Vivek Ramaswamy 
  • Former President Donald Trump 

Binkley, former North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Christie, DeSantis, Haley, Ramaswamy, David Stuckenberg, and Trump have all filed to participate in five or more nominating contests. The next Republican presidential primary filing deadline is on Dec. 5, 2023, in Tennessee.
