Seven candidates file to appear on Arizona’s Democratic presidential primary ballot


The filing deadline for the Arizona Democratic presidential primary passed on Dec. 11, 2023. Seven candidates filed to appear on the March 19, 2024, ballot. In order to file, candidates had to either prove they had qualified for two other state primary ballots or submit a petition containing 500 signatures. 

The following candidates filed:

  • President Joe Biden
  • Gabriel Cornejo
  • Frankie Lozada
  • Stephen Lyons
  • Jason Palmer
  • Dean Phillips
  • Marianne Williamson

Biden, Cornejo, Lozada, Lyons, Armando Perez-Serrato, Phillips, and Williamson have filed to participate in five or more nominating contests. See the chart below for an overview of the number of candidates who have filed in each Democratic presidential primary contest.

The next Democratic presidential primary filing deadline will take place on Dec. 20, 2023, in Ohio.
