Both candidates for Marina, Calif. city council complete Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey

Both candidates running in the general election for Marina, Calif. City Council District 3—Jenny McAdams and Mike Moeller—completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

All survey respondents are asked to tell voters about their three key campaign messages. In Marina, both candidates discussed housing costs as one of those key points. Excerpts are shown below.

McAdams:

“Councilmember McAdams is an advocate for the many residents facing inadequate housing and our unhoused. As more residents find themselves living in vehicles, with multiple families, or being forced to move away, Jenny is committed to working on housing solutions that support a diverse range of needs.”

Moeller:

“We are in a coastal region where home prices continue to soar, pricing out many working families to buy or even rent a home. The City of Marina is in a unique position of owning 550 town house rental units and hundreds of acres [of] land for residential development. This gives the city the ability to support more affordable housing available to its local workforce.”
