Four presidential tickets will appear on the ballot in Indiana this November

Indiana’s Nov. 5, 2024, general election ballot will feature four presidential candidates and their running mates. They are:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., running as an independent, withdrew from the presidential election in August, but will still appear on Indiana’s ballot as a We the People candidate.

This is the most candidates on Indiana’s presidential ballot since at least 2008. In 2020, Indiana’s ballot had three candidates: Donald Trump (R), Joe Biden (D), and Jo Jorgensen (L). Trump won Indiana that year with 57% of the vote, followed by Biden with 41%, and Jorgensen with 2%.

As of Oct. 21, The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rated the state as solid Republican. In the 16 presidential elections since 1960, Indiana has voted for the Republican candidate 14 times and for the Democratic candidate twice.

Indiana has 11 electoral votes, tied with Arizona, Massachusetts, and Tennessee for the state with the 14th most electoral votes. Indiana neither gained nor lost electoral votes following the 2020 census.
