Elections for all 100 seats in the Indiana House of Representatives will take place on Nov. 8, 2022. Republicans hold a 71-29 majority heading into the election.

This article details the five most expensive contested general elections in the House of Representatives.

This information comes from candidate reports to the Indiana Secretary of State covering the period of Jan. 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

Five general elections with the most fundraising

#1 District 93 – $573,825

Julie McGuire (R) raised $572,948, Andy Miller (D) raised $878, and Karl Knable (I) raised $0.

#2 District 22 – $457,309

Incumbent Craig Snow (R) raised $456,129, Dee Moore (D) raised $1,100, and Josh Vergiels (U) raised $80.

#3 District 81 – $333,129

Incumbent Martin Carbaugh (R) raised $333,129 and Abby Norden (I) raised $0.

#4 District 7 – $159,031

Incumbent Jake Teshka (R) raised $158,806 and Ross Deal (D) raised $225.

#5 District 78 – $141,135

Incumbent Tim O’Brien (R) raised $139,645 and Jason Salstrom (D) raised $1,490.

The data above are based on campaign finance reports that active Indiana PACs submitted to the Indiana Secretary of State. Political expenditures that are not controlled by candidates or their campaigns, known as satellite spending, are not included in candidate totals. Federal PACs are not required to report to state agencies.
