Three presidential tickets will appear on the ballot in Wyoming this November


Wyoming’s Nov. 5, 2024, general election ballot will feature three presidential candidates and their running mates. They are:

This is the fewest candidates on Wyoming’s presidential ballot since at least 2008. In 2020, Wyoming’s ballot had four candidates: Joe Biden (D), Trump, Jo Jorgensen (L), and Brock Pierce (Independent). Trump won Wyoming that year with 69.5% of the vote, followed by Biden with 26.4%, Jorgensen with 2.1%, and Pierce with 0.8%.

As of Oct. 28, The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rated the state as solid Republican. Between 1900 and 2020, Wyoming voted for Republican presidential candidates 77.4% of the time. Heading into the 2024 election, the last time Wyoming voted for a Democratic presidential candidate was in 1964.

Wyoming has three electoral votes, tied with five other states and Washington, D.C., for the fewest electoral votes. Wyoming neither gained nor lost electoral votes following the 2020 census.
