Both of the candidates running in the November 8, 2022, general election for Montana House of Representatives District 59 — incumbent Marty Malone (R) and Ruth Weissman (D) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. Eighty-eight of the country’s 99 state legislative chambers will hold regularly scheduled elections in 2022. The Republican Party controls both chambers of Montana’s state legislature. Montana is one of 23 states with a Republican trifecta government.

Malone:
“Keeping taxes low and government smaller.”
Weissman:
“Managing growth. Balancing access to and conservation of natural resources. Providing affordable and effective healthcare, including mental health services and prevention.”
