Seven presidential tickets will appear on the ballot in Florida this November


Florida’s Nov. 5, 2024, general election ballot will feature seven presidential candidates and their running mates. They are:

This is the same number of candidates on Florida’s presidential ballot compared to 2020. In 2020, Florida’s ballot had seven candidates: Donald Trump (R), Joe Biden (D), Jo Jorgensen (L), Howie Hawkins (G), and three other independent and minor party candidates. Trump won Florida that year with 51.2% of the vote, followed by Biden with 47.9%, Jorgensen with 0.6%, and Hawkins with 0.1%. No other candidate received more votes than Hawkins.

As of Oct. 20, The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rated the state as lean Republican. In the previous 11 presidential elections, Republican candidates have won Florida eight times and Democratic candidates had won Florida three times.

Florida has 30 electoral votes, the 3rd most electoral votes of all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Florida gained one electoral vote following the 2020 census.

Florida’s general election ballot will also feature six ballot measures, and elections for the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Florida State Senate, among others.
