There are the same number of candidates on Hawaii’s presidential ballot compared to 2020. Biden won Hawaii that year with 63.7% of the vote, followed by Trump with 34.3%, Jorgensen with 1.0%, and Hawkins with 0.7%. No other candidate received more than 0.2% of the vote.
As of Oct. 20, The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rated the state as solid Democratic. In the 16 presidential elections since Hawaii became a state, it has voted for the Democratic candidate 14 times and for the Republican candidate twice.
Hawaii has four electoral votes, tied with six other states for the second fewest. Following the 2020 census, Hawaii neither gained nor lost electoral votes.
