Five presidential tickets will appear on the ballot in Oklahoma this November


Oklahoma’s Nov. 5, 2024, general election ballot will feature five presidential candidates and their running mates. They are:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. withdrew from the presidential election in August, but will still appear on Oklahoma’s ballot.

There are fewer candidates on Oklahoma’s presidential ballot compared to 2020, and more candidates than in the three elections held between 2008 and 2016. In 2020, Oklahoma’s ballot had six candidates: Joe Biden (D), Trump, Jo Jorgensen (L), Ye (Independent), and two other minor party candidates. Trump won Oklahoma that year with 65.4% of the vote, followed by Biden with 32.3%, Jorgensen with 1.6%, and Ye with 0.4%. No other candidate received more than 0.2% of the vote.

As of Oct. 26, The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rated the state as solid Republican. The Republican presidential nominee carried Oklahoma in every election between 1968 and 2020. The last Democrat to carry the state was in 1964.

Oklahoma has seven electoral votes, tied with Connecticut for the states with the 28th most electoral votes. Oklahoma neither gained nor lost electoral votes following the 2020 census.

Oklahoma’s general election ballot will also feature two ballot measures and elections for the U.S. House of Representatives, other state executive offices, and the Oklahoma State Senate, among others.
