Wisconsin’s Nov. 5, 2024, general election ballot will feature eight presidential candidates and their running mates. They are:
- Kamala Harris / Tim Walz (D)
- Donald Trump / J.D. Vance (R)
- Randall Terry / Stephen E. Broden (Constitution Party)
- Jill Stein / Butch Ware (G)
- Chase Oliver / Mike ter Maat (L)
- Claudia De La Cruz / Karina Garcia (Independent)
- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. / Nicole Shanahan (Independent)
- Cornel West / Melina Abdullah (Independent)
Claudia De La Cruz is the Party for Socialism and Liberation’s presidential nominee, but will appear on Wisconsin’s ballot as an independent. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. withdrew from the presidential election in August, but will still appear on Wisconsin’s ballot.
This is the most candidates on Wisconsin’s presidential ballot since at least 2008. In 2020, Wisconsin’s ballot had five candidates: Joe Biden (D), Trump, Jo Jorgensen (L), Brian T. Carroll (American Solidarity Party), and one other minor party candidate. Biden won Wisconsin that year with 49.5% of the vote, followed by Trump with 48.8%, Jorgensen with 1.2%, and Carroll with 0.2%.
As of Oct. 28, The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball all rated the state as a Toss-up. Wisconsin favored Democratic presidential candidates in the four elections between 2000 and 2012, then voted for the Republican candidate in 2016 and the Democratic candidate in 2020.
Wisconsin has 10 electoral votes, tied with four other states for the 18th most electoral votes. Wisconsin neither gained nor lost electoral votes following the 2020 census.
Wisconsin’s general election ballot will also feature one ballot measure and elections for the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and a special Congressional election, among others.
